What to ask any LIMS vendor
Whichever system you look at, these questions show how much of the flow it really covers.
- ✓Can your clients order digitally, without calling you?
- ✓Is the invoice generated from the approved report?

Common questions
How does per-sample pricing work?
Core has a fixed annual license of €6,699 (50,000 kr.) plus volume-based sample pricing that starts at €3 (22 kr.) per sample and gets cheaper as your yearly volume grows. Core has a minimum of 200 samples per month. Talk to us and we will show you what your volume costs.
What does Enterprise cost?
Enterprise starts at €19,999 (150,000 kr.) per year, with volume-based sample pricing. Licenses, integrations and volumes for multi-site labs are scoped together. Contact Milva Lab and we will put a quote together.
Is anything optional?
Packaging and Local data backup are optional add-ons for Core, each from €2,000 (15,000 kr.) per year. Both are included in Enterprise. Automatic invoicing is included in Core, with a 1% invoice fee on sample revenue before tax. Everything else, including unlimited users, support, free updates, cloud hosting and daily backups, is included in every plan.
How long does onboarding take?
After the demo we agree a kickoff date. Then comes an implementation plan, a migration plan and onboarding of your team. You retire paper and invite your clients, and you are typically live within a few months.
Do we need an IT department to get started?
No. Milva Lab is cloud-hosted and requires no local installation. Your lab manager handles onboarding, not your IT team.
What happens to our existing data?
We offer a data migration service for labs coming from Excel or legacy LIMS. Your historical sample and client records can be imported before go-live.
How is our data handled?
Ask us for our data processing agreement and we will walk you through how your sample data and client identities are handled.
Can our clients use the portal without downloading an app?
Yes. Clients order through the branded portal in any browser, with no download required. Field teams can also use the Milva mobile app, coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
What if we need a feature that isn't listed?
Talk to us. Milva Lab is purpose-built for environmental and building investigation labs, and our roadmap is driven by labs like yours. Custom development is scoped and priced individually.
